@r-type may have some notes or could comment once something is fleshed out. But he is a busy contributor:)

@dankcushions has done a lot of work documenting Arcade cores and functionality for the RetroPie docs as has @HerbFargus. I've worked some on the Arcade section of the RetroPie docs too.

I'll list some links to some material from RetroPie. Be aware that I've already harvested everything I can from the RetroPie MAME 2003 docs :dancer:

  • https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Validating,-Rebuilding,-and-Filtering-ROM-Collections (mostly but not entirely for people using arcade emulator cores)
  • https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/MAME (all mame cores)
  • https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/FinalBurn-Alpha (all FB Alpha cores)
  • https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/lr-fbalpha (the most recent FBA core)

@arcadez is also knowledgeable about arcade emulation if there are specific questions.
