Hi,

According to the documentation,

Most people should start with the Metal build. The Metal has more features, and is a Universal binary. The non-Metal build is x86_64-only and only includes the OpenGL graphics driver. However, the Metal build only supports macOS 10.13+, whereas the non-Metal build supports 10.9+.

So this stable 1.22 build or nightly build should work on MacOS 10.11 El Capitan on x86_64 platform.

Otherwise, you will have to compile your own version.

Thank you.

That's the problem, that normally the x86_64 version should support 10.9+ version but it doesn't. When trying to run it, macos gives an error message that 10.13 is required. Possibly due to a wrong minimum version requirement during compiling. Therefore the metal and non metal builds, both require 10.13+ to run.
