Feature request: Auto-reload controllers after changing `Settings -> Directory -> Controller Profiles`
Description
The back button functionality is broken for some controllers using RetroArch's fallback mode. This prevents users from reload new controller profiles by:
- Navigating to
Settings -> Directory -> Controller Profiles
- Go back to
Main Menu -> Quit
-- which is required by Android ports of RetroArch to save configuration. - Start RetroArch again.
The way to set the back button is to manually configure the controller by following these steps:
- Go to
Settings -> Input -> RetroPad Binds
- Select
Port 1 Controls
- Use the options
Set All Controls
andSave Controller Profile
Expected behavior
The controller should automatically become active upon connecting or changing directories.
Actual behavior
When switching to a directory containing a non-default controller profile, the controller doesn't activate automatically.
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Go to
Settings -> Directory -> Controller Profiles
- Select a directory with a custom controller profile (not included with RetroArch by default).
