Overclock - Compatibility Issue Compilation Thread
This thread has the intention of documenting potential overclock incompatible games. Please list the game name, the commit version of your core (can be seen in the lower-left hand corner when running RetroArch), and where/how the problem was encountered. Also, please specify which core speed has the issue.
This will provide useful data for those wanting to create game profiles where the option is disabled by default. Or could be potentially useful to those able to fix it, if a fix is even possible.

Overclocking Speed: 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%
Problem: Problem Description
Sonic 2 (USA)
Core Commit #: 82d83c4
Overclocking Speed: 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%
Music issue update: with any overclocking enabled music slows down and speeds back up at random.
I can still notice some slight errors at 125% and at 200% it is constant.
I tried disabling Vsync but it does not seem to be doing anything.
On a side note: Sonic 2 does not need overclocking so for this game this is a non issue, I think.
@Birmancat it looks like the overclocking feature got overhauled and it now has 4 different overclocking speeds. Would you mind retesting to see which option(s) potentially work with Sonic 2.
If the problem still exists, be sure to update your comment with a revised problem description, and add the overclocking speed that was used (I'm updating the main template to show this). Thanks!
@saftle Updated.
I've been trying random games from my collection with 200% overclock and it seem to work as intended. At least I can't spot any issues. Except that Sonic 2 music slowdown.
Thunder Force IV (J)
Core Commit #: 82d83c4
Overclocking Speed: 200%
Music issue: Same as with Sonic 2. It's really hard to make it out behind the carnage on screen but when a bossfight starts the music starts to slowdown and kind of stumble. I assume the behavior is the same at lower clock speeds just less noticeable.
Not sure if this would exactly count, but
All games, but for the sake of it the primary game I tried was Mega Man the Wily Wars (E) with SRAM+ patch
Core Commit #: 5270de0
Overclocking Speed: Any (in my case, 200%)
Problem: If runahead is enabled, overclocking does not function. Tested with single instance and second instance. EDIT: Single instance does not function at all, second instance sometimes works but causes jittering in more extreme cases/when moving. The number of frames was at 1 which is the amount of lag frames this game suffers from, at least with the SRAM+ patch.
