First and foremost - despite following Apple's icons as well as we can; we need to set up design docs. This is to ensure consistency as much as possible. We need things such as shadow metrics, finish metrics, where the light is coming from, color palletes, etc etc

@crutchcorn & @saq1610 the unique design guides are imitate in 1st instance the icons of OS X, hence my idea of "cocoa"... regarding the shadows, the optimal size of the circle is 118px for size icons of 128px, the shadows is downward (see example of shotwell). I have people working in the imitation icons of OS X, do not break the schemes with other styles, unless the result is better than OS X.
