iPad Pro with stuck lock button

Open xalbt opened this issue 3 months ago • 1 comments

Is there a way to use libirecovery or another tool to get a device that has its lock button stuck to boot in normal mode? When I try irecovery -n it shows the Apple logo and then goes back into recovery mode because the lock button is stuck :/. I also tried going into diagnostics mode by holding the volume buttons while booting, but being there wasn't very useful either. Wondering if there is a way to stop the lock button input or something?

Thanks for any help!

The lock button has a special purpose of signaling the device to enter dfu or recovery mode, or to prevent normal boot (to enter recovery). Even if you would boot to normal mode, it would always have the problem that it recognizes the home button press so it would barely be usable. Better get it fixed.
