How can I contribute right now?

Open eldelacajita opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right place to post this, let me know if I'm wrong. I'm a recent Liberapay user (donating, not receiving) and I think this is a project worth contributing to. I'm not a programmer, so I'm looking for other ways to help. I'm already beginning to review the Spanish translation, but I would like to do more.

For example, I've read you would like to have a more active blog. Could it make sense for me to help with communication, like producing contents for the blog?

I understand I would need to earn your trust to do that, so I'm willing to work on other texts/documentation in the meantime until I get a deeper understanding of the project and can prove (even to myself) my commitment.

I can also work in graphic design issues and I would love to contribute to the conceptualization and strategy of the project.

Nice!

I'm the main Spanish translator. Feel free to correct the mistakes you find there and propose improvements if you feel it needs some consensus. Check out our specific thread for the Spanish translation: #125

I'm also looking forward to solving that issue, right now there are many proposals, but consensus hasn't been reached.

Check out https://github.com/liberapay/liberapay.com/pull/935, you surely can provide some useful feedback, or open a new issue with your proposals.

Nice to meet you! ;) Until now I just corrected some odd sentences that looked like machine translations. I just read #125 and saw you had already identified that problem. You can see my suggestions in Weblate.

I'll jump in on the other issues you mention, thanks for the suggestions!
