It would be nice to link a liberapay account to any gitlab instance (such as framagit.org), that's why gitlab is opensource instead of github.

perhaps there could be an "other accounts" field that allows for any link

GitLab now supports read-only personal access tokens. Theoretically we could use them to support any GitLab instance, however it wouldn't be as easy for the user as an OAuth flow.
