Clicking on link to cpr docs docs.libcpr.org takes to weird website

All searches for docs take you to a strange website. I was trying to look at async requests docs. Yesterday the site was completely down now it's some scam site in a different language.

I encountered the same situation. It seems the document webpage needs maintenance.

Looks like the takeover happened last Saturday at 1am. The dynu nameservers were back to default. I changed them to cloudflare which should fix it. I will migrate the full domain to cloudflare ASAP since this is now the second time they have been reset.

Just curious, I don't really know how domains and stuff work, how does something like this happen?

test3211234 avatar Oct 30 '25 05:10 test3211234

Same here. The https://docs.libcpr.org/ takes me to some Indonesian website.

I don't know. I'm currently in the process of figuring this out with dynu my DNS provider. I can not delete their NS from my domain list any more:

And their NS points to: ns1508.ztomy.com, ns2508.ztomy.com

Although I have set explicit other name servers:

In parallel I'm migrating the domain completely over to cloudflare to prevent such problems in the future. But for this I need the dynu support and they take their time....

Definitely a surprise to pull this up in class lol, hope everything goes smooth

Wanted to check the docs and was surprised to see this :) Maybe it would be better to use another domain temporary?

I migrated to the original GHPages URL but this will take a bit until it populated through all DNS servers

Why not gather all documents into offline version file ? Just a thought... My working place have a poor network...

CaptainJhonathon avatar Nov 14 '25 06:11 CaptainJhonathon

@CaptainJhonathon the docs are available in this repository which can clone locally or is that not what you're searching for? https://github.com/libcpr/docs

rster2002 avatar Nov 14 '25 08:11 rster2002

@rster2002 Thanks for the help. I had checked the repo. Those documents are indeed something I need to get start with cpr.

However, I just tried to work with cpr few days ago (Yes, I'm new here). Are these content the same as the https://docs.libcpr.org/ ?

Due to the complex and unreliable networking status, getting the right offline docs to work with is important to me! Very appreciated if you like to answer!

CaptainJhonathon avatar Nov 14 '25 15:11 CaptainJhonathon

Yes the docs in that repository are the exact same as the site (assuming of course that everything was up-to-date.) If you have docker installed you can use the Dockerfile to build an image and then serve the docs locally:

git clone https://github.com/libcpr/docs.git
cd docs
docker build -t libcpr-docs .
docker run --rm -p 4000:4000 libcpr-docs

@rster2002 Really Appreciate!!

Since dynu DNS is not able to resolve this, I bought another domain on Cloudflare: libcpr.dev

Docs are now available under: https://docs.libcpr.dev. I also updated all links I've found. In case you still spot an old one, please let me know here.

It appears as though Cloudflare is now the authoritative NS for libcpr.org, including docs.libcpr.org. However, docs.libcpr.org is still giving a 301 to the spam site. @COM8, are you able to change the docs.libcpr.org record now in your Cloudflare panel?

Still not completely - sadly :(

I need to reach out to Dynu again. Slowly but surely I get feed up with this situation!
