Opening Periodic Note From Command Palette – Does Not Respect CMD + Enter for Opening in New Pane

For some reason, opening periodic notes via the command palette (or search) utilising the cmd + enter action to open it in a new pane doesn't work? Is this something others have faced?

Current workflow is open new tab and then open periodic notes, but ideally I don't have to do this!

Can pitch in with the code updates if there are any, let me know.
