Error while setting up daily Notes

Open mayukhc opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

I am trying to migrate from Daily Notes plugin to periodic notes. I was using the format YYYY/MM-MMM/DD-ddd in daily notes, however in periodic notes the same format is causing an error "Filename must be unique" (added screenshot). Also, the open today link on ribbon opens a random 22-Sat entry from last year instead of creating a new daily note for today.

Hi! I'm having the same problem, have you (or anyone else) found a solution?

Bump, seeing this too.

I've run into a similar problem. In Daily notes I was using YYYY/MM-MMM/YYYY-MM-DD for the date format In Periodic Notes, the "will be created at" and "Format" previews show red if I include any slashes at all. This is true for Weekly Notes as well. I don't see "Filename must be unique".

The format above does actually work for daily notes. The format YYYY/gggg-[W]WW works for weekly notes. I am able to create a new daily or weekly note using the command palette. They are created in the correct folder.

This looks like a duplicate of #179, adding my comment there
