Calendar UI does not respect active calendar set

I can successfully create a note using Daily and Weekly from the command pallets using a calendar set other than the default

e.g. cmd+p -> Periodic Notes: Open today's daily note

These notes are formatted like [Work]-YYYY-MM-DD, they use the correct template and are put in the correct folder.

However, if I try to click on the date in the calendar (or a day other than today) it will still try to use the Daily note configuration or Weekly configuration and it creates a note like YYYY-MM-DD and it isn't the right template, or in the correct Note folder.
