jump to date or calendar plugins not getting right location

not sure if this is obsidian or this plugin. When I use either calendar plugin or jump to date and select a date in the future, the note seems to be created in the root of the vault. This then breaks things like templater watching folders to insert my daily notes template.

Not sure if there is some field that this plugin should be setting or something broke in the base obsidian

I am using the latest insider build.
