Fails to open or create "daily" notes with date format YYYYMM

Open jgraciahlrs opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

In certain situations I prefer to use "monthly" notes rather than "daily" notes and I have configured the core plugin respectively.

Now, when clicking on a date in calendar view, I get an error "unable to create new file". It does not matter if the file exists or not.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure Daily Notes to use date format "YYYYMM". Settings > Core plugins > Daily notes > Date format > "YYYYMM"
  2. Restart Obsidian
  3. Open Calendar view
  4. Select any day
  5. Hit "Create" on New Daily Note popup

Expected behavior

Create / open daily notes even if date format is "YYYYMM".
