Calendar Open View hotkey not working

Describe the bug

Calendar Open View hotkey not working

Steps to reproduce

  1. Assign a custom hotkey to "Calendar: Open View"
  2. Use the hotkey
  3. Calendar does not open

Expected behavior

Calendar will not open after using the hotkey.

OS

Windows 10 Pro

Obsidian Version (e.g. v0.14.2)

Not sure if you've figured it out already or not, but I ran into this today. As it turns out, PEBCAK applies here.

While a note is open, click on the right sidebar image

You should then see the calendar widget; now you can move the pane to your preference. image

It might be nice for "Open Calendar" command to actively open the Calendar Widget instead of creating an instance in the collapsed right sidebar to help users like us. But this seems to be a feature, not a bug

This just solved my issue. Who knew, though?

I think the widget should open in the sidebar. That is exactly what the hotkey indicates: "Open view". This is how other plugins like outline or advanced tables work

You would think that, but not in my case!
