automatic backup scheduling does not work

unfortunately the automatic backups dont work for me. I set up some folders and did initial backups, but the app does not do any more snapshots automatically. I also dont get any errors or notifications etc.

The app has permissions to run in background and when unused. So I wonder how the automatic backups are implemented and how I can check why they dont run for me?
