Support for trigger (reminders)

Any chance for adding support for triggers? I have my calcurse set to sync with my google calendar but it would be nice to be able to set reminders so I can get notifications with an event starts.

Any workarounds for this at this time or any plans for adding this feature?

We have a custom notification system. You can specify how long before an appointment you want to be notified.

There is no spoort for item-specific triggers yet but that is something we might want to implement.

I figured as much but thought I would still ask in case I missed something. Guess I will just need to rework how I add things until another way is possible

May I have a suggestion: I love to be reminded of more or less immiment events at different times: for example, I like to have a reminder two days before and then one 5 hours before (just to keep the events is the rear of my skull, so to say) and finally 1 hour before so that I can really get ready. Would it be possible to let the user enter an array of "times-before-event" waning instead of entering only one ? Or am I the only to like this kind of gradual alert that an event is getting closer and closer? Thank you anyway for this incredible app ! Sincerely lopippo

It’s pretty common for calendar software to be able to set multiple reminders with custom times, isn’t it? I’m not sure if it’s defined in the iCalendar or CalDAV RFCs, but my caldav server syncs those across devices. It would be awesome to be able to set them via calcurse, too.
