`@@@` not highlighting

Hello,

I use @@@ as a special symbol to mark the last place in my code I was working at, even months in the past.

I have: (setq fic-highlighted-words '("FIXME" "TODO" "@@@"))

All strings get highlighted, expect @@@.

fic-mode is one of those features I always rely on, thank you deeply for maintaining it.
