Nice to have: Binary editor image encoding

Open AndyHOvine opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

This falls squarely into the Nice-to-have category for a rainy day.

Idea: How about image processor options for the binary editor? image

The above shows binaray data as an image as a Hi-res bitmap. You could add a drop down control to the binary editor to change how it interprets this binary data to display pixles and colours in specific formats. Some examples immediately spring to mind:

  1. Hi-Res -- current view mode
  2. Commodore Multi-colour -- encode the bit pairs to show image as multicolour
  3. Amstrad Mode 0 -- encode the interleaved bit nibbles to show image as mode 0 mutlicolour
  4. Amstrad Mode 1 -- encode the interleave bit pairs to show image as mode 1 multicolour

Would be beneficial if can choose what colours to use also.

Really is a nice to have - not a high priority :)
