Improve UX for adding hashtags and list of hashtags
iPhone only: Functionality for “Additional added tags” - There is a problem with creating trash point when hashtag is added. The keyboard does not minimize after hitting enter. Requires touching something outside the box to minimize. Pulling up does not minimize the keyboard or allow proper access to “create trash point” - the only thing that works is tapping. This issue does NOT appear when editing an existing trashpoint.
It would be nice to suggest common hashtags while typing
Some suggestions from Pilot countries: Add “Default” “Additional added tags” - suggestions would be 1. “#WorldCleanUpDay” “#NationalCleanUpDay" that would show up just on day of event (+/- 2 days). #CleanUpEvent (to indicate that this is part of an organized event).
when adding multiple hashtags separated by “,” only a single hashtag is added (hashtags concatenated in single one) - Ionut
estimate: 4h for adding multiple tags support. For autocomplete, bigger effort is required, adding a new endpoint for trending tags. Do you want an estimate for this feature too?
Regarding autocomplete, yes we'd like an estimation.
Need to give an estimate for auto-complete.
Additional issues to estimate:
- on Android: can't add hashtags, they are not saved on the trashpoint;
- on iOS: when typing in hastags, can't save because the keyboard covers the save button.
- the # symbol should be removed from the tooltip, we should not display the symbol.
- the user should not be required to type in the # symbol.
development done, needs to be tested
in new version user can just type word, doesn't need to put hashtag in front of the word. https://letsdoitworld-my.sharepoint.com/:v:/g/personal/kristiina_letsdoitworld_org/ESFrTJl8RQlBpx2PXHHqLGABO6ffYXIOfpm0nO_pSY5OdA?e=BgLbAn
It was this way before. The remaining UX issue is that # should not be visible in the placeholder / tooltip, since it gives the user the impression that they have to enter it.
user can enter # but they don't have to, so it seems to be solved. We save the word even if user doesn't add # before the word
but that's bad UX, needing to find the sha nested somewhere in the keyboard.
