Cannot build project

Hi ! I'm looking forward to contribute to this project, but I'm having trouble building it in the first place. The generate.py script raises several errors when executed with python3.7 :

  • related to software I miss (mainly npm stuff) that I think should be listed in the README
  • problems in the python script itself (mainly problems of string != binary string)

I'll be trying to correct that in my next PR.
