"Nothing to export" when certain .dat piece files directly imported
The Bug When a .dat file from the LDraw parts library is imported into LeoCAD, either through the GUI or terminal, the piece disappears from the parts library in the GUI and then returns a "Nothing to export" error when I try to export this model with a single piece as a .obj. This only applies to certain pieces consistently. The 1 x 4 x 3 brick and 1 x 4 Log piece are examples that I found. Most pieces do not behave like this. One can normally drag the .dat file from the LDraw parts library into a LeoCAD instance with a complete LDraw library already configured and then export that piece as a .obj.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make sure LeoCAD has complete LDraw library already configured, e.g. search through the library for the problematic pieces, like the 1 x 4 log.
- Go to LDraw parts library folder and drag in or import via terminal 1 x 4 Log (30137.dat)
- Notice that the piece has disappeared from the library in the GUI
- Try to export "3D Studio"
- Try same procedure with working piece, like 1 x 3 Brick (45505.dat)
Version
- OS: Ubuntu and Mac OS
- LeoCAD Version 18.02 - 21.06 (tried multiple versions)
