ENHANCEMENT: assign split view to specific model entry

Hey @leozide,

I was wondering about the feasibility of selecting a specific model or submodel entry and having it shown in a split view. This could enable having the main model on one panel and whatever edit on the other.

What do you think?

I think this will be complicated to get working, everything in the app assumes that only 1 model is visible at a time but I'll take a look.

Is the submodel edit feature not enough for what you're trying to do?

The submodel edit is great! Don't get the wrong idea. I was merely throwing the idea out there as I thought it could be a neat way to edit while having the main still visible.

No need to implement anything that would be too complicated!

The idea of being able to see multiple models at the same time is still valid.
