Export to STL
Add option for export model to STL file (STL is commonly used as exchange format for 3D printers).
FTR, LEGO added 3D printed part into official set:

This would be really usefull. We need export to STL, STEP and WRL! I imagine several usecases where this can be useful:
1.) kids designing LEGO toy on computer and then being able to 3d print whole model 2.) engineers being able to incorporate lego to prototypes. by designing rest of mechanical/electronic stuff with the lego.

We need export to STL, STEP and WRL!
@Harvie, STEP export is not possible to implement, as LDRaw format (used in LeoCAD for 3D pieces) is a mesh format (STEP is solid body format instead).
STL is widely used mesh format for 3D printing — that is why this feature request is here.
FTR, Actually, LeoCAD may export to Wavefront OBJ mesh format (so probably it may be possible convert to .obj to .wrl or .stl using Blender app or other 3D format converters).

FreeCAD does the job.
