Hi !

Thanks for this great work ! Do someone fixed brightness issue on the 9300 FHD ? I saw there was an issue already about that (https://github.com/leon0410898/XPS13-9300-hackintosh/issues/9) I have applebacklightsmoother.kext and tried everything, but i still cannot get my brightness to word correctly...

Is there any way to fix it please ?

Thanks !!

use the newest Whatevergreen (1.45 ? )and the SSDT-PNLFCFL in the package, disable applebacklightsmoother.kext

then have a try.

Hi !

Thanks for your answer.

I added SSDT-PNLF-CFL + SSDT-PNLF / Updated WhatEverGreen and removed applebacklightsmoother.kext, still not working...

Any idea ?

Thanks again

Ok, I found the solution, thanks again for your help. Here is the final process :

  • Add/Update SSDT-PNLF-CFL + SSDT-PNLF
  • Update WhatEverGreen
  • Remove applebacklightsmoother.kext
  • Keep igfxcflbklt=0 in bootargs

Working perfectly now...

I have one last small issue... Do someone know how to enable HIDPI ?

hi, i have the same issue. solution didn't work for me through. built newest whatever green from source, and tried the new flag for icl backlight, but same problem. igfxcflbklt is deprecated. There's no point in having both PNLFs, as the first one to be injected blocks the second.

So it seems to be fixed after a sleep and wake cycle. There is still a few seconds of black on login, and dim before sleep.

If you boot into black screen, close the lid and reopen it (if doesn't work, do it agian ...)

hi, i never boot to a blank screen. what happens is that the maximum brightness is low, maybe a little more than 50%. I do sometimes get a few seconds of blank screen, but as said it passes after a short while.
