crashes while using VST2 plugins v 1.7.0 + 1.7.1

thank you for your work on the sparta vsts. ive been using the plugins before the update to 1.7 a lot with no issues.

after the update, most if not all the vst2s have been crashing my reaper and i had to revert back to 1.6.2. i tried the 1.7.1 update and they still crash almost instantly, sometimes with a 30 sec delay

im using a 64 bit windows machine. if you would like any more specifics please let me know.

I apparently have the same problem on a 64 bit linux machine + Ardour. 1.7.1+ vst plugins crash immediately when I start playing the track, while 1.6.2 vst plugins work fine. I get the following error message on the console:

I think this may have been addressed in the upcoming release. Please let me know if that is not the case.
