Broken layer between terminal and bottom bar

Open afuno opened this issue 5 months ago • 6 comments

Describe the bug After release 2025.6.21515-latest the layer between the terminal and the lower blue bar broke (conflict appeared). The problem occurs more often when working with 2 or more terminal windows. The problem can be solved if the current terminal window is resized (full width, compact).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open one terminal.
  2. Open a second terminal.
  3. Switch between them, do work in the terminal.
  4. When switching, the terminal will go under the lower bar. The bottom bar will overlap the bottom line in the terminal.

Expected behavior The terminal does not go below the lower bar.

It would be nice to have the ability to disable the bottom bar in addition to fixing this issue. It has no use, it takes up space and it is brightly coloured.

@afuno Thank you for reaching out! We have contacted our development team regarding your issue.

Hi @afuno, The issue described after release 2025.6.21515-latest has been resolved. The fix is included in the latest release, which can be downloaded from our Downloads section on the website.

While we understand the concern about the bottom bar being visually distracting or taking up screen space, we cannot make it removable or hideable. The bottom bar provides essential functionality, including information about the connected cluster and, in certain use cases, access points to specific features. For these reasons, it remains a fixed part of the interface. However, we’ll bring this up with the team again to reevaluate potential improvements based on your feedback.

Thank you for your feedback!

It seems that the problem I described has been solved. Thanks.

But in the new version I started to notice new problems. The terminal starts to lag after some time. Along with this, some strange behavior appears, such as no response to q or space for listing a large amount of data, which happens, for example, in the Rails console.

I haven't noticed this behavior when pressing space before:

...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
...skipping...
:

And apparently there is no way out of this, it is endless. Only works if I use Enter.

By the way, why didn't I see the update from the app and I had to download it again from the site?
