[Feature] compile Mac release for Universal instead of Intel

Feature description

the current Mac DMG installer build is an Intel application.

Motivation

If possible, consider building for Universal so that M* silicon users don't require Rosetta 2.

For something that is released 2 years after the first M1 Macs came out, a universal or separate AS binary should have been provided.

I second this idea. Would be best practice since the large adaptation of M1 and M2 devices.
