The good people over at EDDI have been undergoing a big language project with a lot of help from Cmdrs. It might be worth asking them about the Cmdrs translating for them.

I want to help make the translation into Spanish. But I need some guidelines on how to do it. I understand that I have to copy the French edr.po file and modify it, but I don't know in which folder I have to place it. Thank you for your work.

Thanks for the help.

You would have to create an es folder right under the l10n folder. Then right under the es folder, you will need to create an LC_MESSAGES folder in which you should place the compiled version (i.e. edr.mo) of the translated edr.po.
