Hi @kalyanac! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the MeetingBar team.

This is a known issue that has affected several users after recent updates, including 4.11.6. The problem is related to Google authentication and calendar listing, and while recent releases have included fixes, some edge cases still persist for certain users example example.

Workarounds that have helped others include: switching to the macOS Calendar provider and then back to Google Calendar in the 'Calendars' view, making sure only one Google account is signed in, and checking your Google account security settings for any recent changes or re-authentication prompts example. If you see repeated failures, reviewing MeetingBar logs for authorization or data fetching errors can provide more insight.

The maintainers are aware of these issues and are continuing to work on more robust fixes. Keeping an eye on future releases is recommended if the workarounds above don’t resolve the problem.

To reply, just mention @dosu.

I seemed to have found a workaround - select only one calendar the first time Google account is connected. That seems to work. Later, you can select more calendars.

In case it helps anyone, what worked for me was to revoke permissions for MeetingBar in Google and then accepting then again

Same issue here. Resolved when selecting single calendar only using google's API.

Same here, it's been a consistent issue as I can't seem to get meetingbar to stay connected to the Google Calendar. It frequently desyncs, or gets locked into showing events from a previous day.

Can you please prioritise fixing this? The whole point of having MeetingBar is to avoid thinking about when I have meetings, now I find myself in a constant loop of manually checking the calendar and restarting MeetingBar periodically...

for the last week or more it has been working normally for me. It seems to be resolved for me, although I'm still on 4.11.6 which seems to be the latest from June.

What's the update on this? Everyday I wake up and have to reset the connection for it to work...

I started having this issue after upgrading macos to Tacho (v26). Could be a coincidence. The recent 26.0.1 update didn't resolve it.

I can get around it by selecting one calendar. But as soon as I select another one, it disconnects from the Google Calendar API source and I have to reconnect it.

I'm using Meeting Bar v.4.11.6.

I also tried these things and they didn't work:

  • Uninstall and reinstall Meeting Bar.
  • Remove Meeting Bar connection from my Google Account and reconnect it.
  • Select another Source in the Calendars settings and then re-select Google Calendar API.

Also, @mina-asham, you realize this app is free right?

Is there a path to resolving this? It seems stable if I leave it alone and don't make any changes to the subscribed calendars.
