Android App Developer looking to write an app
Target medium
I'd like to write a publicly available (free, no-ads, open source) Android app to put on the Play Store. Looking for an idea that is interactive or perhaps that can make use of the perks of running on a phone - like I think it would be pretty cool if it uses the phone's accelerometer or gyroscope for example.
Target topic categories
Particularly interested in physics sandbox / cellular automata style projects but very open to a wide variety of topics.
Background / Portfolio
I studied mathematics at uni but work professionally as an app developer. I've made many toy apps for fun though here are some of the ones that've made it onto the Play Store so far:
Particle Life - A Conway's-game-of-life inspired continuous automaton that demonstrates life like behaviour emerging from simple rules. N-tris - A generalisation of the classic game

I'm not an expert but I have been wondering if it would be possible to turn formal logic into a puzzle game, letting people prove basic facts without even realizing it. Learning to work in proof assistants can be surprisingly game like, going through the motions without really needing to think about the math behind basic proofs.
If you are interested in this idea please contact me on discord Fejfo#6714.
@fejfo You might find The Natural Number Game interesting! I could easily see this become more like a traditional puzzle game if a drag-and-drop interface similar to Scratch is added.

Instead of writing a new app you could also try to use phyphox. I'm not sure if that would qualify for SoME or if that's the direction you want to go, but it's probably easier to develop a new experiment for phyphox instead of writing a new app.
I've got a game idea about percolation, where you have to build bridges and seawalls to keep your landmass connected as the sea rises. I think we can make something fun to play, and it would involve some key mathematical concepts (universal coupling and critical threshold) and we could use the game to teach these. PS : I also love fejfo an azoricus idea of a drag-and-drop interface for logic puzzles using a proof assistant. I feel like this would be a huge project.
Perception scientist here.
I've been sketching out an app that is aimed at teaching children about different aspects of perception interactively.
One idea for example is built around visualizing your voice and what we can learn from seeing sounds.
