Driving multiple MidiSport units ?
Hi there,
Like so many before me, THANK YOU for providing this release so our great MidiSport MIDI gears do not end up in the trash :)
I am using 2 MidiSport 8x8 (I have quite a few MIDI devices)
Up until now, I was using Linux (ALSA and Jack), and my 2 MidiSport were recognized and acknowledged with no fuss. This Linux setup has worked perfectly and consistently for me for the last 8 years.
However, I just moved to MacOS and installed your driver.
The MidiSport unit is indeed recognized and acknowledged.
However only 1 MidiSport unit shows up in the Mac "Audio MIDI Setup" app (though I find this app very confusing...).
So my question is : does this driver allows for more than 1 MidiSport unit, and in the event, how to make these multiple units properly show up in the Audio MIDI Setup.app ? If not, how complex will it be to extend the actual code to provide for multiple Midisport units recognition and setup (I am a Linux developer, but never developed drivers for MacOS) ?
Thanks for your attention on this matter.
Cheers,
Franck
I have the same question but in my case I own 2 midi sport 4x4, both of them show up fine on Audio MIDI Setup app, but it looks like there's no ID associated with each device as every time I turn connect the hardware only one gets recognized and have to click the rescan MIDI button to bring the second one back (the old added device stays there as not connected, see the screenshot).

And yes, thanks a lot for providing this driver and reviving this nice pieces of hardware! ;)
