Cannot see allomantic lines at all on Windows?

Open ArcticAlmond opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

Howdy! I am on Windows 11, using minecraft 1.20.1, and cannot see any allomantic lines. I used forge 47.2.0 and 47.2.1, as well as both versions of the 1.20.1 mod, and could not for the life of me get any visuals from gold, electrum, steel, or iron. I did test tin, out of curiosity, and found that I could still see sounds from mobs. Fiddled with simple video settings for a minute, but got no results. Any clue what my issue might be? As far as I can tell, everything is working but the allomantic lines.

Are you using any other mods?

Just Jade and JEI for now. Tried running it without either of them and everything is still the same.

Same problem here. I've got voicechat and optifine.

I have a few things I've been able to figure out if you have optifine make sure internal shaders is on, this usually fixes it. getting optifine can also fix the problem (as long as you turn on internal shaders). the only problem is optifine conflicts with so many different things and is a horrible solution. I also noticed the Tin works but none of the other visual metals work. do either of you have an amd Graphics card? I know my friends have Nvidia and they don't have this problem.

I do my development on a Windows machine, but I do have a NVIDIA card

I'm getting this issue using the MineColonies Dimensional Adventure modpack fresh out of the box, which uses Oculus instead of Optifine. I have an AMD card and am using the Complimentary Reimagined shader pack. I haven't changed Allomancy's settings nor Oculus' at all.

has there been a solution found for this on AMD machines? I'm more than willing to work with people and try things out.
