Messages Pane Appears Light (Should Appear Dark?)

As per attached Loom, messages pane appears light today, even though 'Make Messages Dark' had and continues to be set to 'All Emails'. This behaviour started today, on MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.7 13" (Mid-2011) (MC965LL/A*) running Catalina.

Have changed 'All Emails' to Disabled, then back, no success. Have turned Simplify off/on, and rebooted machine, no success.

(Note, my 'Dark Reader' Chrome extension is set to ignore gmail.com site, so its settings should not be the cause of this issue.)

Thanks for the report. Gmail made a change that broke this. v2.5.35 is rolling out now with a fix.

Thanks for quick reply! All good. Hope that loom somewhat helps, in things like this where Gmail break things. Love the product!
