Issues checking for OpenBVE updates

Open BPI-919 opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

I recently downloaded the latest version of OpenBVE (December 22, 2021; nightly build).

After opening the main program (OpenBVE), when I click the "Check for updates" button, I experience several interesting things.

By default, the pop-up window should contain the following text: "OpenBVE is up to date" / "No updates available for OpenBVE". Instead, the program wants update to an older version of OpenBVE (2021.11.20.). This is one of the problems.

Another thing is if I say that this could be okay, and I click the "Ok" button, the link is also bad. The link wants to point here: https://openbve-project.net/intro/V1.8.2.1/ , however, this is the appropriate (workable) one: https://openbve-project.net/intro/v1.8.2.1/ . To solve this problem, "V" should be rewritten to "v".

Actually, personally, I would be happy, if the pop-up window contained the following text when I click "Check for updates" (if an update is actually available), like: "A newer version of OpenBVE is available. Do you want download it?". And then, by clicking "Ok", the latest nightly build installer (if an installer for nightly builds could exist...) would be loaded.

Would this somehow be feasible?

Thanks in advance! kép kép kép
