[Request] Enhancing the simulation of the properties of train performance
I am a bve train add-on maker and I would like to make suggestions regarding this issue. Thank you.
- Enable load-compensating device (This has been a feature since the launch of BVE2).
I notice that in OpenBVE, when a train with load-compensating device is full of passengers, the acceleration and deceleration rate are drastically reduced, while for most of the modern rolling stocks in the real world, constant acceleration and deceleration rates can be provided throughout AW0 - AW3 condition.
- Enable jerk limit when a train decelerates down to 0 km/h.
I notice that in OpenBVE, a train seems to be jerky when the train just stops with the application of full service brake to the train while jerk control is available for most of the modern rolling stocks.
Further feature can also be considered, for example:
- The co-existence of air braking and electric braking for some types of rolling stocks.
e.g. B4-B3-B2-B1-N-P1-P2-P3-P4 (for traction/ electric brake controller) and B1-B2-B3-B4-EMG (for air brake controller)
