divide examples in directories

Not really important, but as the number of examples increases, maybe it would be better to separate them in directories as looking for an specific example has become harder

maybe. there's an index now: https://leeoniya.github.io/uPlot/demos/index.html

i do want to organize them a bit more, but it's somewhat complicated by the fact that each demo shows off combos of features which makes grouping hard. maybe the index should be a table that lists the features the demo is supposed to show, i dunno :/

I don't have strong opinions about this but here is some of the competition for ideas:

https://semiotic.nteract.io/ https://canvasjs.com/react-charts/ https://vx-demo.now.sh/ https://software.es.net/react-timeseries-charts/#/

They are all react cause that's what I've explored mostly. This is probably inter tangled with the documentation though. Nearly all of those examples combine docs + demos.

I do like that the vx one starts out with the goals/faq. There are a lot of charting libs out there so it's nice to have why you may/may not want to use this particular library front and center before the demos (you already do a good job of this on the github README).

but it's somewhat complicated by the fact that each demo shows off combos of features which makes grouping hard

Yeah I think there is a clean split between "documentation charts" eg you have logical groupings of features and how to use them and a "gallery" where you just show off the power of uPlot. And I wouldn't bother grouping gallery charts too much
