Thanks for the fix @mhihasan! Can you sign the [contribution agreement](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/108694#issuecomment-2113348635) so we can get this merged?

@fang-xing-esql @nik9000 any reason not to backport to 8.14? :)

@stratoula will have more enlightened opinion on this one, I think we agreed that adding to Kibana ESQL limitations might be overkill
