texpander does not work in Gnome/Evolution

texpander does not work in Gnome/Evolution. texpander screen opens with menu for snippets text, but text will not paste into email.

I'm also seeing this issue. texpander opens with all of my snipperts visible and selectable, but nothing will paste into any kind of document or email.

Under Linux Mint it works like expected. Maybe this issue is directly related to Gnome?

Could be. To refine my post:

• Using Fedora 31 with Gnome desktop manager
• Seems to be working fine when I select a snippet from the popup within gmail
• does NOT work in any other application (Kate, vim, etc) -- I get TWO popup dialogs (very sure I'm not clicking twice and can't replicate within gmail) -- I can select any of my many snippets which acts like it's working--but I don't get any pasted text in the destination window (e.g., Kate text editor) -- Tried the work-around documented in texpander.sh, which didn't work for me

So, I have at least partial functionality. Guess that will have to do until Lee can get back wot working on the script.
