Make OpenAPI tests serially rerunnable or runnable in parallel

In general: what's the advantage for having separate databases? I'm thinking it'll take a lot of extra runtime to create these databases (and by consequence, a lot of extra resources too). I mean: is having the ability to run in parallel very important in the foreseeable future?
