After watching your video I came up with the idea of adding unchecked list back to the main list instead of sorting the full array. Feel free to give me some review on my method.

Yes nice approach. But the tutorial was more on teaching DOM manipulation to Beginners rather than focusing on the optimization! That's why I did not go into that strategic path. But what you did is the correct approach. Thanks.
