I'd suggest you use a ubuntu inside `VirtualBox` and keep using it there or you could buy a box on DigitalOcean or AWS and work there.

are you still facing this problem? can you try to run `docker run --rm -p 8888:8888 -D -v $(pwd):/home/jovyan/work jupyter/scipy-notebook` and post the complete log? which OS are you using?

It seems also that the way to add keepalive at client side is by swaping to a custom transport.
