setting nixconfig_config_home causes jscas-server not to start

I followed the installation instruction, but this step here: nixconfig_config_home=$(pwd) npx jscas-server doesn't work. Running this instead appears to work: npx jscas-server

Is there a way to fitler the servers that can obtain credentials from jscas-server?

I suspect that might have to do with it, but I'm not sure. What I'm looking to do is to filter clients based on a set of IP address ranges....
