Swatches cannot be opened

I'm running the latest version of Creative Cloud, and any and all attempts to open a file in illustrator/photoshop results in an error, usually an "unexpected end of file"

I am running Ruby 2.1.2, on OS X Mavericks

Any chance you can share the code that's causing this error? I can't seem to reproduce.

Absolutely. I can literally copy and paste your example code from the readme, and it still won't work.

I can upload one of the created ASE files if you would like to see it.

@meltingice did you ever discover the root of this error? I'm encountering the same problem. If you pointed me in the right direction, I could try to fix it?
