For the last 4 or 5 versions, the app doesn't tell you when there's an update available anymore. Was this feature removed once?

I don't know what to say, the auto updater has worked perfectly fine for me.

Every time I would delete the old version and clear install the new one, but it keeps not working... 🤷‍♂️ Do you have to run it in admin mode to receive auto updates?

Admin is not necessary for the updater to check for updates. If admin is needed to update the application (i.e. it is in a protected folder like Program Files) then it will prompt for administrator permissions.
