For example, in https://edit.laws.africa/works/akn/za/act/genn/2020/343/ Direction 5 was changed but nothing else on 7 July 2020. (In fact it was Direction 5(1), but details).

• Knowing which provisions were affected by an amendment should allow us to automatically update say a corrected typo in an unaffected provision from another point in time.
• It could also allow us to restrict which provisions are editable at a given point in time.
