Check behaviour around truncates

We don't do much in the face of truncates right now, but that could be considered wrong. If you truncate your database table, should you expect the data to remain in the sink? Possibly?

Even if you don't know what to do, it's probably better to make some noise when it happens so someone can address it manually.
