The app should have generated a crash log as described here: https://joplinapp.org/help/apps/debugging/#crash-reports
Would you mind sharing it?
I don't see any joplin_crash_dump
files in my home directory. I also searched my whole computer and I can't find any files with that in the name anywhere
I have the same issue. Might be related to #5992
Sorry I forgot you need v2.14 to be able to get a crash log
I also experience the exact same behaviour. Here is the crash dump. joplin_crash_dump_20240302T002807.json
@laurent22 I am having the same issue, and a crash dump was kindly provided by @hmpft. This does indeed look like https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/issues/5992 which is more than 2 years old
This issue can be quite annoying at times. I myself (and probably some other concerned parties here) would be happy to make a small Paypal donation to you, should this bug be resolved quickly :)

Cheers

It hasn't happened to me recently
Happens every reboot/shutdown for me (but not while Quitting).
Relevant snippet:
"type": "Error",
"value": "Renderer process gone.",
"stacktrace": {
"frames": [

"filename": "<anonymous>",
"module": "<anonymous>",

...
Edit: Other lines are just generic ElectronAppWrapper.
I'm removing the dump feature from my own AUR builds until it's resolved. Seems to be no way to prevent it from polluting the home dir.
@laurent22 Files like this should be in their appropriate XDG-env location(s).
