Android: Sidebar menu doesn't open with pull out gesture

Environment

Joplin version: 2.8.1 Platform: Android OS specifics: Android v9

Steps to reproduce

1. Drag finger from left edge of the screen towards centre of the screen.
2. Sidebar menu does not react.

Describe what you expected to happen

When dragging finger from left edge of the screen sidebar menu slides open from the left. In contrast sliding the menu closed does work this way.

To be clear sidebar menu does open when tapping on the hamburger button. This would technically be an enhancement.
