Web Clipper Stopped Working

Greetings, I'm using kubuntu 22.04 and joplin 2.8.8 and vivaldi 5.3.2679.61 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit) . Suddenly my web clipper gets stuck at: "Connecting to the Joplin Application"

The Joplin setting shows the clipper is enabled. Any suggestions?

This is the message from the web clipper: Error: Could not connect to the Joplin application. Please ensure that it is started and that the clipper service is enabled in the configuration.

This just started a few days ago. I rebooted, restarted joplin and even reinstall the web cliipper but to no avail. Am I to abandon joplin altogether? My primary use is with the web clipper.
